Epson Micro Piezo Technology

Epson printers utilize Micro Piezo Print Heads producing small accurate print droplets crucial to image printing. Voltage applied to the piezo element on the print causes it to change shape and pumps out the ink in precise amount consistently.

Epson also uses pigment inks but their printers are able to handle all other types of inks like dye inks and resin-coated ink. In fact they features their DuraBrite inks which tiny particles of pigment are added to the resin to produce a uniform printout and sharper, brighter colors.

Pigment inks are generally higher in viscosity, produce sharper prints but may clogged printheads of those printers not made to handle it.

DuraBrite inks are costly to produce and are presently not available in compatible or OEM supplies.
